Can we say "Jet Lag?"

Whew.

Friday March 28th, 10:45am, Auckland, NZ.

For most of you, it isn't even Friday yet.

I think its sometime last evening for my body

Anna is
1)hoping to write a food review for Colonia del Sacramento but not able to at the moment because she is
2) so seriously jetlagged that the world is spinning around her and also
3) the internet is wicked expensive here which will make it difficult to continue
4) planning her NZ trip, since she hasn't really done any planning yet.

Also--
It turns out I need a visa for Oz, luckily it took me only $20 NZD and about 5 minutes.

Also ---
Aerolineas Argentinas made a big deal about checking out my plastic-baggied lip gloss and tiny tube of sunscreen, but let me walk right by with two bottle of water poking out the sides of my daypack. Yay! Safety!

Also ---
We left during a thunder and lightening storm and at times I think we all thought the plane was just going to fall apart.

Now, I am going out in search of Chinese food, because the internet is wicked expensive at the hostel so I can't stay on long, also I am desperate for Chinese food and maybe a nap because the world won't stop spinning!!!

love!

Hey guess what … my friend lives in NZ, she lives in Auckland. She tells me that it’s an urban environment where everyone lives within half an hour of beautiful beaches, hiking trails, this sounds like a holiday islands. This would be a dream destination for a traveler like me. http://100percentpure.wordpress.com/

Hi Anna,

Your dad sent me your blog link and I read it this morning before the kids woke up. I caught myself smiling several times. Your imagery is wonderful! And, I'm really happy for you and look forward to keeping up on the adventure, enjoying it vicariously!

Ralph is off in Malawi and will be there all of this summer. If you happen to head to Africa by then let me know and I'll put you in touch with him.

All the best,

Sara

Heya Chica,

I am so happy for you. You look great too. I read this thing about the world's steepest street being in NZ. It is is Dunedin, located in the suburb of North East Valley. Baldwin Street runs east from the valley of the Lindsay Creek up the side of Signal Hill. If you get a chance to stand toward the top of the street- the steeper end, take a picture for your blog!-Dare number 1 from me. If you are able to do it. Miss you and lots of love from Michelle, Coy, Caleb, Gauge, and Littel Coy.

Anna Banana,
I do not know if you will be able to do any of these dares but here you go..Dare #2- Go to the Hot Water Beach, where natural hot-water springs bubble beneath the sand and snap a picture lying on the beach. Dare #3- Find the Moeraki boulders and take a picture with one. Dare #4 go to the Geyser Flat at Whakarewarewa. There are only a few geyser fields in the world and this is one of them. (if I don’t come up with any others) And my final NZ Dare, but not just any dare… I Triple Dog Dare you to go Skydiving at Lake Taupo. Oh yeah baby!!! Go ANNA GO-GO-GO. Love the Henderson’s+++Good luck!

Hi Anna,
This is my 2nd attempt to "comment", hope it gets to you at least once. I'm so jealous (really, just happy for you)...either the scenery is amazingly beautiful or you are an amazingly descriptive writer-maybe both! A chiropractor I knew told me that she and I were alike because we both needed down time away from noise and stimuli, such as TV, people and chatter. How refreshing for you! Keep enjoying, we miss you and love you,
Dorene & John
